The Alstom PL42AC is a four-axle (B-B wheel arrangement) diesel-electric locomotive, designed through a collaboration between Alstom and General Motors’ Electro-Motive Division (GM-EMD). A total of 33 units were manufactured between 2003 and 2006 and delivered to New Jersey Transit (NJ Transit).
