Functional Features

This freight wagon is designed for the transport of biomass (wood pellets) and features four hopper compartments with a total capacity of 123 cubic meters.

The wagon is equipped with a pneumatic system to operate four clamshell-style discharge doors. The loading hatches are fitted with pneumatically controlled, weather-tight covers.

Both the hatch covers and the discharge doors can be operated pneumatically, either manually or automatically.
Compressed air for these operations is supplied either from the train’s “second line” (auxiliary air line) or via an external air supply connection at the work site.

Operational Capabilities

The discharge system allows for unloading on straight track sections; material can be discharged between the rails, whether the wagon is stationary or in motion.
To prevent unauthorized interference with the control system, the vehicle utilizes a unique mechanical safety key system—one key for the hatch covers and a separate key for the discharge doors.
The operation of the hatch covers and discharge doors is triggered by magnets installed along the trackside at the loading/unloading station.
