Schber Rail MT2 Strikers
The MT2 Striker is used with an “F” or E/lF” Coupler. The Striker incorporates the front draft lugs of the draft pocket. The casting is designed to withstand 900,000 Ibs. of draft loading and 1, 250,000 Ibs. of buff loading.
In standard freight car draft arrangements, a rectangularly shaped block of steel is interposed between the butt of the coupler shank and the front working-end of the draft gear. This block extends crosswise through the front end of the yoke gear pocket and is termed the front follower.
